We have a Lucas 10 and a Lucas 6 with a slabbing attachment, weatherboard attachment and planing attachment. We can mill slabs and large dimension boards.
We can grade the timber according to the Australian stds and stamp them where suitable to meet the building standards.
If you have a tree/log that is more than 500 in diametre at the thin end then there is usually some timber there. Less than 300 then probably not and if it is in between then maybe. You might send pics in the first instance.
We have milled many hundreds of logs in all sorts of dimensions for a huge range of projects. We also have a furniture maker who can advise and build if you need.
We have completed a chainsaw course and a tree harvesting course at Creswick Timber Training. We don;t climb and will only take a tree down if it cant hit anything.
The mill is on a trailer pulled by my two wheeler ute. We also have some gear to help move some logs around - cant hooks/log rollers, winches etc.
Your timber should be less 1/2 to 1/4 the price of the timber yard depending on the species and logs.
We are happy to travel and love to talk about timber and trees, so give a tingle if you think we can help.
